Q&A before the film with Mark Webber and Michael Loebenstein
PULP: WHAT DO YOU DO FOR AN ENCORE? comes to Gartenbaukino for a special one-night-only event.
We're thrilled to welcome Pulp guitarist Mark Webber for an in-person Q&A before the screening.
Presented by Gartenbaukino and the Austrian Film Museum.
Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating music, cinema, and the legendary band Pulp.
Charting the Sheffield band’s extraordinary journey from obscurity to cultural touchstone. Fusing footage from Pulp’s biggest ever arena show – part of the global tour for ‘More’, the band’s first album in 24 years – with four decades of colourful, never-seen-before archival material.
Rapturous.
Mark Webber (born 14th September 1970) is a guitarist, curator, and writer.
He is best known for playing in Pulp (since 1995), and appearing on all of their albums since their Mercury Music Prize winning collection Different Class.
In 2025, he published I'm With Pulp, Are You?, which recounts his remarkable journey from being a devoted Pulp fan to becoming a full band member. Drawing on five decades of memorabilia, photographs and personal recollections, this illustrated book provides an intimate, insider's history of the band and features contributions from Jarvis Cocker, Simon Reynolds and Luke Turner.
In addition, Mark Webber works as a film curator. In this capacity, he has dedicated a programme to Ken Jacobs, who was one of the last representatives of the post-war generation of independent filmmakers and passed away in 2025. Webber will personally present this programme on 30 September at the Austrian Film Museum: https://bit.ly/4zz813P
